The aerospace industry uses satellite Up Converters and Down Converters to test satellites that are currently in production. Satellite Simulators and Test Loop Translators are used for the testing of an earth station deployment or portable satellite terminals and provide a very cost-efficient and effective alternative to testing over satellite.
